Jack Thompson: the video game

Recently, batshit anti video games lawyer Jack Thompson made a modest proposal to the video game industry. He promised ten grand to donate to charityto any game developer that created a game that features an out of control video game lawyer going on a killing spree against the industry. Someone took him up on his offer and is currently awaiting the money for charity. Who wants to bet that he's going to weasel his way out of it citing satire or a joke?

  • He did say it was satire, in the updates on that blog. He refuses to pay the 10 grand, and even though it was supposedly satire, he argues semantics over the format the game was made in and such. What a fucking tool.

    Government control on video games?! That's the most fucking retarded thing I've ever heard. what's next, government control on books? Nazi asshat.

  • Yeah, but when Thompson originally wrote the thing up, he didn't say that it was satire. I think that it's a shitty thing to do to go back on your word like that, but then again, he's a lawyer, right?

    Anyhoo, Penny Arcade has made things right by donating in Thompson's name. That's ace.
